Miranda, or as she prefers to be called, MISTRESS Miranda, is a fictional character from the Rowan Gant Investigations series of horror-occult-suspense novels written by M. R. Sellars. She has appeared in three novels as the antagonist, those being Love Is The Bond, All Acts Of Pleasure, and most recently, The End Of Desire. These three installments of the Rowan Gant Investigations are also known as The Miranda Trilogy.
Mistress Miranda is a sadistic serial killer who falls under the Kelleher classification of Sexual Predator - This means very simply, that she kills for sexual gratification. Her methods always employ BDSM and her victims are submissive men - or, in some cases, men she turns into submissives against their will. How they die ranges anywhere from asphyxiation to a far gorier death by stiletto heel. But, one hallmark remains consistent - she won't allow her vicitms to expire until she has enjoyed torturing them for as long as it takes to make her happy.

Of all the antagonists featured throughout the Rowan Gant Investigations, for some reason, Miranda has endeared herself to readers in a way no other has accomplished, thereby becoming one of the most popular recurring characters other than the primary protagonists themselves, Rowan Gant and his wife Felicity O'Brien. The resulting popularity of this character not only spawned this site, but a myspace site, and a series of Miranda specific marketing swag.
Fans of the series are well aware that, even though the trilogy itself has drawn to a close, Miranda is not done.
